Firewood Delivery to the Mornington Peninsula
Wheelie Good Wood has been supplying seasoned hardwood firewood across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula since 2017, backed by over 30 years of timber industry experience.
We stock two premium Australian hardwoods, Red Gum and Ironbark, both available in Regular Split (loaf-of-bread sized, 30cm long) and Double Split (wrist-width, 30cm long). Ironbark is a dense, high-heat timber that burns long and leaves minimal ash, making it ideal if efficiency matters. Red Gum is a Peninsula favourite for open fireplaces and wood-fired pizza ovens, known for its slow, even burn and distinctive aroma.
All wood is seasoned and delivered dry in a 240L wheelie bin, no bags to carry from Bunnings or the servo, no wood to stack, no dirt on your driveway. Our Swap & Burn system means your next delivery is as easy as leaving your empty bin out front.
Mornington Peninsula deliveries run every Thursday and Saturday, with both one-off orders and flexible subscriptions available. We also offer a Seniors Special and a Refer a Friend program.
Serving Mornington, Mount Martha, Rosebud, Rye, Sorrento, Portsea, Flinders, Red Hill, and surrounding areas.
Mornington Peninsula FAQs
- Do you deliver to my suburb on the Mornington Peninsula?
We deliver across the Mornington Peninsula on Thursdays and Saturdays, covering suburbs including Mornington, Mount Martha, Rosebud, Rye, Sorrento, Portsea, Flinders, and Red Hill. If you're unsure whether your address is in our zone, get in touch before ordering. - What firewood do you deliver to the Peninsula?
We deliver Red Gum and Ironbark firewood, both available in Regular Split and Double Split. Red Gum suits open fireplaces and wood-fired cooking. Ironbark is a denser timber — it burns hotter and longer with less ash, making it a good choice if you want maximum heat output from your heater. - Which split size should I order?
Regular Split pieces are roughly the size of a loaf of bread (30cm long) and suit heaters rated 8kW and above. Double Split pieces are wrist-width (30cm long) and are better suited to smaller heaters under 8kW. Check the kW output on your heater's front panel or manual if you're not sure. - How does the Swap & Burn work on the Peninsula?
On your first order you'll receive a 240L wheelie bin along with your wood (a one-off bin fee applies). When you're ready for a refill, leave your empty bin at the front of your property and we'll swap it for a full one on your next delivery day — Thursday or Saturday. - Can I get a one-off delivery, or do I have to subscribe?
Both options are available. You can place a single order whenever you need wood, or set up a subscription for weekly, fortnightly, every 3 weeks, or every 4 weeks delivery. There's no lock-in on subscriptions — you can pause or cancel any time. - Where will my bin be placed on delivery?
We'll place your bin within 20 metres of the street. If you have specific access requirements — a gate code, a side path, a preferred spot — add those details in your order notes. - Do you offer a Seniors discount on the Peninsula?
Yes. Email a copy of your Seniors card to us and we'll give you access to our special price list. Visit the Seniors page on the website for details. - Do you deliver mulch or other products to the Mornington Peninsula?
Yes, mulch is available as a delivery add-on — it's a byproduct of our wood processing and a practical way to cover garden beds or paths. Check the website for current availability and delivery days.
